Chiropractic

The main goal of chiropractic care is the restoration of the natural function of the body's joints and the relationship to the surrounding muscles and joints. Through many different actions, stresses, and forces placed on the body, joints can become subluxed (jammed or stuck). When the joints aren’t moving as well as they have in the past, the muscles interact with the joint differently causing the nerves to not communicate as effectively. In the miscommunication, the body will experience pain, decrease range of motion, and decreased strength output. That is why our goal with the treatment is to improve the relationship between the joint, muscle, and nerve to have the body moving as efficiently as possible which will then decrease the pain experienced.  By first applying Different Massage thereapy techniques (including Active Release Therapy, Pin-and-Stretch, and fascial release) to increase the function of the muscle, the joints are then assessed to see specifically which joint needs to be adjusted. Either manually (with hands) or with an instrument the joint is encouraged to move like it originally had. The treatment is concluded by perscribing specific exercises to continue to help the body move well.
